/roll is used in fights.
Example:
- Quote :
- PERSON1 /me attempts to shoot the woman rebel.
PERSON1 /roll
PERSON2 /roll
When you've typed /roll in-game, a random number from 0 to 100 will display.
In the example above, if person1 rolled 55 and person2 rolled 10 then person1 would shoot the woman rebel IF person1 uses a weapon that you get a hit if you roll over 50 (Like a SMG).
So, /roll decides who should win the shot. And if person1 attempt to shoot person2 and /roll's less than person2 then you miss.
For instantly death/kill, you need to roll 85 or more.
That's the basics of /roll ing.
Different ranks has different + on their roll.
For example: a DvL gets +30 on their roll, because of their experience and so a citizen has harder chance to beat down a DvL, since they're highly trained.
But this does not mean that if you roll 50 and is a DvL and gets 80 you will instantly kill the target. No, the + is only a bonus, does not work on instantly kill.
Different weapons has different amount of number for hit.For example: A SMG has 40+ to get a hit. If you roll under, you won't hit
if you don't have any + points. If a DvL rolls 20 and has a SMG, then he hits because of his +30 points.
Multiple shots.For example:
- Quote :
PLY1/me Attempts to shoot the rebel three times.
PLY1/roll 44/100
PLY1/roll 33/100
PLY1/roll 78/100
(Equals= 2 bullets instead of 3 shot and because of that, ply2 only needs to roll 2 times since one of ply1's rolls were not successful.)
PLY2/roll 33/10
PLY2/roll 42/100
(ply2 rolled lower than ply1, ply1 can now shoot 2 bullets at ply2)
So, first bullet = 40+
Second bullet = 60+
Third bullet = 70+.
You need to get a number over 40 to hit 1 shot, a number over 60 to hit 2 shots (IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A NUMBER OVER 40) and a number over 70 to hit 3 shots (IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A NUMBER OVER 40 AND 60)
Then you will successfully hit 3 bullets at the target
if the target don't rolls higher than your rolls. If you had 3 rolls like this: 1. 50/100 2. 66/100 3. 80/100
and the target rolls 1. 60/100 2. 52/100 3. 75/100. Then you successfully hit 2 shots at the target
since she rolled higher than your first roll but she didnt roll higher than your 2 or 3 roll which means you rolled over 40 (66/100) and 60 (80/100) but not 70 since you used the 80/100 roll on the 60+. You just fired 2 bullets at her at the same time.
Congratulations!
